Simulation center
On October 26, 2018, the first simulation stroke center in Ukraine and the second in Eastern Europe was inaugurated on the premises of the Sklifosovsky Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital. The main goal of the center is to acquire new theoretical knowledge and practice practical skills for both existing stroke units and future departments providing assistance to stroke patients.
The simulation training program includes:
1. Overview of the latest American, Canadian, and European recommendations for the treatment of acute ischemic strokes and the results of recent research.
2. Assessment of physicians' knowledge of key stroke scales (NIHSS, ASPECTS, mRS).
3. Training on the basics of neurovisualization for neurologists.
4. Simulation exercises using the Body Interact program.
5. Direct implementation of simulation scenarios.
Only by joining forces can we change the situation regarding assistance to stroke patients in Ukraine and increase the awareness and practical skills of medical professionals in stroke centers across different regions of Ukraine. The quality of life for stroke survivors depends on each of us.
We create stroke care together!
