The first spring school for young stroke physicians from the Ukrainian Stroke Medicine Society in cooperation with Feofaniya Clinical Hospital came to an end on 28 April.

30 motivated young doctors from 15 regions of Ukraine took part in the school.

Every school day was full of lectures and practical classes. Doctors got acquainted with new research and recommendations for the treatment of patients in the hyperacute and acute periods of stroke.

Lectures were given by the members of the USMS board Olha Biletska, Mykhailo Tonchev, Yurii Cherednychenko and Dmytro Lebedynets, members of USMS committees Dmytro Pohorilyi, Pavlo Lebedynets, Dmytro Hrynykha, Yuliia Vlasiichuk, Andrii Nos, and by the physicians from Feofaniya Clinical Hospital: interventional neuroradiologists Yevhen Butsko, Andriy Holyaka, neurosurgeons: the president of the Ukrainian Association of Neurosurgeons Oleksandr Voznyak and Roman Iliuk, radiologists Natalia Hrinchuk and Ruslan Cherednichenko, interventional cardiologist Mykyta Brianskyi, arrhythmologist Andriy Yakushev, anesthesiologists Volodymyr Orel and Maksym Pavlovskyi, bronchoscopist Bohdan Havenchuk, psychologist Anna Antofiichuk, and neurologists form the stroke center of Feofaniya Clinical Hospital Valentyn Bulchak, Ruslan Salnikov, and Olha Yasnii

School participants had the opportunity to present their clinical case and receive comments and questions from USMS experts, take part in debates, practice thrombectomy skills on simulation flow-models, take part in a simulation of acute cerebral stroke management, and visit the stroke center of Feofaniya Clinical Hospital

We sincerely believe that the first spring school of a young stroke physicians added new knowledge, motivation and energy to our colleagues and will help to provide better care to patients throughout Ukraine.
